Dear friends and supporters,

We are reaching out to you today with an urgent request for your help. As many of you know, our foundation has been dedicated to providing financial support to Turkish students pursuing higher education in the United States. We have been doing this work for one year, but recent events have made our mission more critical than ever.

The devastating earthquakes that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria have left thousands of families shattered and entire communities displaced. The loss lives and the scale of the destruction are heartbreaking. As we speak, rescue efforts continue in the affected areas, and the number of casualties and injured individuals continue to rise.

The impact of this disaster will be felt for years to come, especially in the education sector. After such catastrophic events, many young people will look for opportunities to pursue their studies elsewhere, including the United States. Historically, the number of students from another country studying in the United States has risen after disasters and political unrest in those countries. It is likely that we will see a similar trend in the coming years for Turkish students.

In addition to the heartbreaking loss of life and the physical damage caused by the earthquake, the entire country of Turkey will feel the impact of this disaster in the coming months and years. The financial impact of the earthquake has created more than $100 billion economic contraction, and it will affect the lives of millions of people.

The earthquake has damaged critical infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and buildings, which will need to be repaired or rebuilt. This will require a substantial amount of resources and financial investment, which will likely be felt throughout the country's economy. The disruption to economic activity in the affected areas will also have a ripple effect on other parts of the country, as businesses and industries may struggle to meet their usual demands.

The earthquake has not only caused loss of lives and displacement of families, but it will also have a profound impact on the social and cultural fabric of the affected areas. Many people will be forced to start a new life in other parts of the country, which could have lasting effects on the education system, as students may be unable to continue their studies due to the loss of homes, schools, and other critical resources. Therefore, the impact of this disaster will be felt not only by those directly affected but also by the entire country of Turkey. It is crucial for us to come together and support those affected, helping them rebuild their lives.

Our foundation aims to address this situation, and we believe that with your support, we can expand our efforts. Despite it being our first year, we were able to achieve a lot. We have partnered with the University of North Texas and Dallas College to offer additional educational opportunities and resources to Turkish students, and we have also teamed up with DataCamp to provide our scholarship recipients with comprehensive data science training. This collaboration will equip Turkish students with in-demand skills, increasing their employability in the current job market.

Moreover, we have provided 20 scholarships totaling $60,000 directly paid to colleges and universities. We acknowledge that this is just the beginning and that we need to do much more considering the devastating earthquake. We are committed to helping these students pursue their educational dreams by providing financial assistance to cover tuition expenses. However, we need your help to achieve this goal.

We urge you to support our foundation and the students we serve by making a donation. Your generosity will make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by this tragedy and support the education of the next generation of Turkish leaders.

We are also looking to partner with universities in the United States to provide full scholarships to Turkish students affected by the earthquake. If you are a university administrator or faculty member who would like to collaborate with our foundation, please reach out to us at contact@foundationgenerosity.org

Please donate today and help us make a difference.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Generosity Foundation
