Scholarship Story: Jordan*'s Journey

Jordan grew up in a small town, in a family doing their best to make ends meet. When they earned a place at college, the excitement was real — but so was the stress. Tuition, books, and daily expenses added up quickly, and Jordan wasn’t sure how they would continue.

Everything changed when the Generosity Foundation stepped in. Through the GFIS Scholarship, Jordan received financial support that covered tuition and essential academic materials for the first two semesters. Even more impactful, the foundation connected them with a mentor — someone who helped navigate course decisions, encouraged internship applications, and provided steady support during challenging moments.

With that foundation beneath them, Jordan found the confidence to fully engage in campus life. They joined student organizations, led a community-service project, and participated in leadership workshops and networking events that would have otherwise been out of reach.

By senior year, Jordan wasn’t just succeeding — they were thriving. With a strong GPA, a growing professional network, and a clear sense of purpose, they were ready to use their education to uplift others.

After graduation, Jordan reflected on their journey:

“The scholarship didn’t just help me stay in school — it helped me discover who I could become.”

Now, Jordan gives back, knowing that their journey was made possible by generosity — and hoping to open the same doors for future students.
